Outdoor Space for the Whole Family

FUN AND FUNCTIONALITY FOR ADULTS AND TEENAGERS ALIKE

The homeowners, who are parents to young teenagers, wanted to create an outdoor space where they could gather and entertain almost all year round, thanks to a fire pit. The family wanted a stylish, fun area that would work with their lifestyle. In order to maximize the space, we established zones on the multi-level deck for dining, hanging by the fire pit, barbecuing and lounging. We incorporated lots of color as a nod to the wife’s love of quilting. We also took into consideration the direction of the sun during the planning phase. To maximize the light without the glare of the sun, we used sail shades. This also added another layer of color. One reason we love this project so much, aside from working with our fabulous clients, obviously, is because it was published in Design NJ magazine last summer.
