2019 is Looking Bright (and Busy) for Ella Design Group

We hope your 2019 is off to a great start! It’s shaping up to be an exciting one for Ella Design Group with some really amazing projects on the horizon. Here are a few things that will be going on around the studio in the coming months:

  • We were hired to revamp a family room in New City, NY. We just finalized the finishes (stay tuned…we’ll be posting those soon). We also found an incredible, antique oak beam at one of our favorite vendors Authentic Antique Lumber in Goshen, NY. The beam is from a 180-year-old barn near the border of Canada that we’ll be using for the fireplace mantle.

  • We’re still going strong on our Philadelphia brownstone remodel. We recently selected bedding and our client has continued to surprise us by loving some accent pieces that are definitely outside of her usual comfort zone.

A sneak peek at the finishes we chose for a kitchen update.

  • We just started on a kitchen update in Tuxedo Park, NY. Our client has more traditional tastes, so expect some classic, timeless elements. She and her husband purchased the townhouse but were so unhappy with the kitchen. Although the kitchen had been remodeled two years ago and it didn’t need a total overhaul, she felt it wasn’t a reflection of her. She tried to “fix” the kitchen by buying new furniture, which we’ll be incorporating into the design. We’ll also be reupholstering her end chairs, replacing the backsplash, adding long, elegant drapes and reviving the dining area to create a more impactful space that will make our client smile!

  • For our largest project so far, we’re also renovating an entire house from the inside out. We’re picking out everything including the windows, siding, you name it. We space planned the upper level to maximize the space and add an additional bathroom. We’re also converting an existing greenhouse on the property into a four-seasons sunroom.

  • We’re in the midst of a designing a guest bedroom in NY. Our clients’ son recently moved to Denver for work. Since he’ll be staying in the guest bedroom when he comes back to visit, we thought a Colorado-inspired space was the perfect fit. Next up on the agenda: Painting, sconces and artwork.

  • Iris just finished up a complete remodel of her new kitchen in Tucson, Arizona. The project involved just as much planning and project management as it did design but she’s thrilled with how everything has come together.

  • Lastly, in the works, Christine is remodeling her own kitchen. It’s been a long time coming and she’s finally carving out some time to create her own dream space!
